What is Project SWEDES?

The 21st Century Wildfire Combat Approach

Project SWEDES serves to efficiently and continuously pinpoint the location of wildfires within a vast region using a network of sensors, machine learning, and triangulation. At distinct points across a region, sensors can record and relay meteorological information to a machine learning model at a server that can estimate the sensor’s distance to a wildfire. Now, triangulation can be used to determine the precise location of the wildfire, continuously, automatically, and most importantly, accurately.
